Japanese long holiday season started. Here. Miyajima is World heritage and very famous shrine being established 850 years ago.
Miyajima, Ituskushima shrine.
Miyajima, Itsukushima shrine's entry gate, so called "TORII". This shrine had been respecting Guardian God for the ruling Heike family being eradicated in Dannoura sea battle by Genji family.
"Akiyoshi-dou" in Yamaguchi pref., the most famous lime-stone cave in Japan. This is the entry and the bottom river is actively flowing out.

As if the view is rice terraced paddies.
The most famous monument "Kogane Bashira" means Golden pillar. This cavern， "Akiyoshi Dou" is designated as Special natural monument in Japan.
The above ground view is the wild lime stone hill country, "Akiyoshi Dai" in Yamaguchi pref. This is so called "Karst plateau". In Japan there is two same type areas and another is "Hirao Dai" in Kyushu area.
In the sixteenth century, Kyoto noble culture had been expanding for the rural potential feudal lords. This Buddhism tower with five graceful layers is "Gojyu-no-tou" pagoda in "Rurikou-ji" temple, Yamaguchi pref. This building is designated as National treasure in Japan. No need to go to Kyoto!!
Onomichi city in front of a narrow sea strait, is famous as Slope and Buddhism temple town. If going there, please enjoy the taste of "Onomichi Ramen".
"Thou-Tou" in "Jyoudo-Ji" in Onomichi-City is designated as National treasure (Two stories pagoda). From here, we can go hiking for Temple visits and Hill top climbing for the nice city view.
Aki-Nada-Oohashi is the bridged across Japanese inland sea "Setonaikai" between Kure City and Shimokamakari-Jima". Shoufukutei Turubei, being a famous Rakugo sotry teller, introduced this area in NHK TV program "Kazoku-Ni-Kanpai" recently.
As passing through the next bridge for Kamikari-Jima, you can stop the small service area to see the nice sea view.
Mitarai town street in Osaki-Shimo-Jima is located in the very famous historical area to enjoy the traditional seaport town.
Nice old signboard of Watchmaker "SHinkou-Tokei-Ten" in Mitarai town. Th shop master is quite skillful of watch repairs as being introduced in NHK TV program "Professional Shigoto-no-ryuugi".
This old-fashioned theater is "Otome-Za" in Mitarai town to evoke nostalgia.
From Nagatani sightseeing hilltop in Okajima-Mura located in Imabari City. It's tough to go and you had better drive K-car (Japanese compact car) because of very steep narrow roads. But the view is nice as recommending to go.
This is the season for blooming Japanese iris.
Early twentieth century, Harukichi Nakamura went around the world by Bicycle without money. This is the memorial monument in MItarai town of Osaki-Shimo-Jima. Its' the amazing biker's history.
